Nurturing children, supporting families - the Montessori inspired way
At Montessori Kids Family Day Care, we offer a warm, home-based environment where children from 0 to 12 years can learn, play and grow at their own pace.
Our Montessori-inspired environments help create a calm and respectful space that fosters independence, curiosity and a genuine love of learning.
Families are at the heart of everything we do. We work in partnership with parents to provide individualised care, meaningful experiences and a strong sense of belonging - ensuring every child feels safe, valued and supported every day.

Multi-Age Montessori-Inspired Environments
-
Montessori environments are thoughtfully prepared for multi-age groupings of children, reflecting the natural rhythms and relationships of a family. These groupings create rich opportunities for learning, social connection and personal growth.
-
Children are inspired by the accomplishments of older peers, while new learners enter an established community with positive models of independence, cooperation and respect. Older children develop confidence and empathy as they guide and support younger ones, reinforcing their own knowledge through shared experiences and ‘peer teaching.’
-
Within these mixed-age settings, every child is free to learn and progress at their own pace, supported by an environment that values individuality, collaboration and mutual respect.
Statement Of Commitment To Child Safety

Montessori Kids Family Day Care, including the Montessori Kids Community Play Group, is a child safe organisation. We are committed to providing environments where all children are safe, feel safe, and are empowered to have a voice in decisions that affect their lives.
Guided by our Montessori-inspired philosophy, we recognise each child as capable, respected and deserving of care that nurtures their sense of security, belonging and independence.
We ensure that the wellbeing and safety of every child remains at the forefront of our practice and decision-making. Our organisation upholds and aligns with the Child Safe Standards and the Statement of Regulatory Expectations – National Model Code (SRE–NMC), embedding these into all aspects of our work, including the use of digital technologies and educator practices.
Montessori Kids Family Day Care is committed to inclusive practices that uphold:
-
The cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children,
-
The cultural safety of children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and
-
The safety, inclusion and participation of children of all abilities.
Together, we foster a culture of respect, transparency and shared responsibility, ensuring that every child and family experiences genuine safety, trust and belonging in our Montessori-inspired environments.
Our Educators
We strive to create a professional, supportive and nurturing environment for our educators, recognising that when educators feel valued and well supported, they are best equipped to provide high-quality, Montessori-inspired care and education for children and their families.

At Montessori Kids Family Day Care, we recognise the vital role of the educator. By offering strong guidance, structure and ongoing support, we enable educators to flourish in their practice, build meaningful relationships and deliver enriching experiences that reflect the unique needs of each child and family.

At Montessori Kids Family Day Care, we believe children thrive in environments built on freedom, trust, resilience, respect and safety. Guided by Maria Montessori’s learning triangle - the child, the educator and the environment; and enriched by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives where Country, family and community are central to learning, we nurture each child’s independence, curiosity and sense of belonging.
Our Montessori-inspired environments, both indoors and outdoors, encourage children to make choices, care for themselves and others and develop deep connections with nature and community.
Educators act as guides and co-learners, valuing family knowledge and cultural practices while fostering relationships built on trust, understanding and mutual respect. Through mixed-age groupings children learn cooperation, leadership and empathy.
Our mission is to provide a quality, Montessori-inspired education that empowers children to grow with confidence, adaptability and a strong sense of identity - recognising their role as capable, connected and compassionate custodians of the world.
